Henrik Lundqvist will decide game 7 of this series. If Henrik plays like he did in game 2 and 4 the Rangers can win the series, but if he plays like he did in games 1, 3, 5 and six the Rangers could have a hard time. The King has been pulled going into the third period going into the third period the last 2 games.
Ryan Callahan, Brandon Dubinsky, Staal and Girardi will hopefully have another good game. The Rangers big name players will have to step up. Players like Gomez, Drury, Naslund, Zherdev and Antropov will have to play well if they want to win.
Mike Green is not that good of a defenseman. He is basically a forward placed on defense. If you put Crosby or Malkin on defense they would have the same numbers as Green. Green shouldn’t be a Norris finalist.
Does anyone else think that Versus is idiotic. I don’t understand why the schedule two games on the same night? Then they only show the last little bit of the second game. It’s stupid, but we’ve come to expect that with Versus. It’s not about hockey, it’s not about the NHL it’s all about ratings. They could care less what people want. Versus is terrible.
Let’s hope they aren’t too biased tonight and I might actually be able to enjoy the game.
Tonight will be the final game between the Washington Capitals and the New York Rangers. Regardless of who wins and loses tonight will be it. The final game of a series which has been mostly dominated by the Capitals will be played in Washington where the Caps have won just one of three games there this series.
Tonight at 7pm on Versus and MSG.
Will the Rangers spring back to life? Wil the Caps win with another blowout? Will the Rangers solve Varlamov? Will Lundqvist play better? All of these questions will be answered tonight.
The Rangers dropped a huge game 6 to the Capitals at MSG on Sunday afternoon. If you were unfortunate enough to have to sit through the NBC broadcast then you must have been pretty angry after the game. Not just because the Rangers lost again, but that NBC FUCKIN SUCKS! Pierre McGuire is annoying. Please NBC get rid of him. And to Doc Emrick, please at least try to be unbiased. Don’t laugh when you have to report that the Rangers asked for increased security. Edzo is just as annoying but whatever.
I actually didn’t watch much of the game, the first period and part of the second period. After the first goal I believe my words were, “Oh fuck we’re gonna lose”. Wade Redden scared the shit outta me when he scored but then I realized that Gomez tipped it and Redden didn’t score. I saw Brashear’s cheap hit on Betts. Did anyone notice our penalty kill sucks without Betts? After the second and third goal I changed the channel and watched Friends. After about and hour of that I put the game back on and it was 5-2 with 30 seconds left I said Awh fuck it and decided to watch the rest of the game. I was delighted to see that the Rangers scored with about 5 seconds left. But, at least we know that Var-LA-mov, as he is know known, is beatable.
Game 7. I want the Rangers to win, but, i wouldn’t be devastated if they lost. Next year expect the Rangers to be deadly. With a whole summer for Torts to work his magic, there is no way the Rangers won’t be contender’s next year.
