Manny To The Sox

Manny Ramirez could soon be joining the Sox. No, not the Boston Red Sox, but the Chicago White Sox.

Foxsports.com is reporting that when the Dodgers put Man-Ram on waivers that the Chi-Sox will put in a claim.

This move will benefit both the Sox and Manny. Manny will be able to rest and not have to play the field every day while still getting at-bats as the DH.

Manny also bats very well at US Cellular Field. Of all the ballparks in which Manny has 50 at-bats, he has the second highest batting average at US Cellular Field, trailing only Kaufmann Field, home of the Royals.

The White Sox will get a player that can help that make that late season push towards the postseason as they currently trail the Twins in the AL Central and are in no position to catch the Yankees/Rays in the Wild Card.

Manny is in the last year of his deal with the Dodgers. So after this year he will become a free agent or could choose to retire should he so choose too.
